Tóm tắt
The text discusses the importance of health literacy and patient participation for achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goal of Good Health and Well-being. Health literacy is essential for shared decision-making, person-centred care, chronic disease management, and reducing health inequalities. It is also tied to sustainability in healthcare, linking to the UN goal of Quality Education by promoting educational models for patients and professionals. The Norwegian definition of health literacy emphasizes an individual’s ability to understand, assess, and apply health information for informed health decisions. While individual focus is clear, the organizational perspective is underrepresented. Evidence shows patient participation improves satisfaction, safety, and care efficiency, reinforcing its role in sustainable healthcare development.
